Discography

The Mravinsky discography presented below is based on the previously published discography compiled by Kenzo Amoh, Frank Forman, and Hiroshi Hashizume[1]. Since 1998, a significant number of new recordings have been released, including new transfers of previously known concerts. Wherever possible, these missing entries have been incorporated into the existing discography. Additions are highlighted in green.

According to Amoh, “Mravinsky left 102 commercially issued recordings, 54 studio recordings and 48 live recordings, during he was alive. The first recording was the Shostakovich Symphony No. 5 recorded in 1938 just after its premiere by Mravinsky and the Leningrad Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra”[2].
